On Tuesday November 19, 2019, at approximately 7:50 A.M., Indiana State Police were called to mile marker 125 on I-70 near State Road 103 in response to an automobile collision involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck.  The driver of the pickup truck was unresponsive when the police examined him and the two passengers in the truck were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the pickup was later pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the semi-truck was unharmed.  The police believe that thick fog on the morning of the 19th was a factor in the collision.

As the fall season proceeds to winter, some mornings will have heavy fog where vehicles will be covered in a thick layer of frost.  Unfortunately, driving slowly and with headlights on is not a guarantee that a collision will be avoided.  If you or someone you know has been injured or killed by the negligence of another motorist, please contact the experienced legal team at Schiller Law Offices at 888-578-3100 or at IndyInjured.com to learn more about your potential right to compensation.
