A motorist, 34-year-old Damon Jones, stricken with a seizure drove his SUV through a Vincennes University classroom. There were about 15 students in the classroom at the time. Only one student was injured when a table was pushed against his back.

According to police, Jone’s vehicle veered off the road, struck a utility pole, and then traveled another 400 feet through the wall of the university’s Technology Building. The damage to the utility pole caused a major power outage within the university building, resulting in classes being canceled for the next morning.

It is not uncommon for drivers to suffer from seizures, heart attacks, and other traumatic health hazards while driving. If you or someone close to you is ever the victim of such an accident, please call attorney Mathew Schiller at  Schiller Law Offices for a free consultation.
