A collision on Interstate 465 North near Interstate 70 on June 30, 2020, resulted in the death of a Plainfield resident.  According to the police, around noon, a driver of a pickup truck had pulled off at a 42-mile marker to the side of the road to make adjustments to the cargo in the back of his truck.  At the same time, a Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling on the shoulder, for unknown reasons, left the road and struck the driver of the pickup truck.  The driver of the pickup truck was unresponsive to first responders at the scene of the collision and was later pronounced dead, while the driver of the Trailblazer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.

Pulling off the side of the road is still very dangerous on many roadways across the nation.  But sometimes a driver must do so, for their safety and the safety of others on the road.  If you or someone you know has been injured or killed in a car accident, please contact the experienced legal team at Schiller Law Offices at 888-578-3100 or at IndyInjured.com to learn more about your potential right to compensation.
