On the morning of May 9th, an Indianapolis family had awoke up to a different alarm when a vehicle crashed into their home, destroying a load-bearing wall on the 4100 blocks of Rockville Road. The vehicle was a marked police car, and the officer stated that they were trying to move away when another vehicle passed him close by when he was navigating an S curve. In the hope of dodging the other vehicle, the officer ended up crashing into the Indianapolis family’s home. The three individuals inside the home were sent to the hospital as a result of the collision, One of them still is still hospitalized due to head trauma from the home being pushed into his head and body. Because of this accident, the family stated that they cannot stay at their home due to the gas and electricity being shut off, hence leaving them without a home right now.

The actions of other drivers on the road can cause significant damage to another individual and the things that surround them. Drivers need to be vigilant when they are on the road, no matter what time of the day it is.
