On August 13, 2014, WXIN Fox 59 reported that at approximately 11:30pm, a 37-year old Indianapolis woman died in a car crash on Interstate 65. Police state that the driver of the vehicle was going southbound through a construction zone, just south of the Interstate 465 interchange and crashed into a semi. A spokesperson for the Indiana State Police was unsure as to why Stockey failed to stop or slow down. The exact cause of the crash currently remains under investigation.
