On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, two people were taken to the hospital following a major collision in northeast Harrison County.  According to Lafayette Township police department, a semi-tanker had hit a passenger vehicle and then hit a barn by the road at 12:15 P.M.  The drivers were extracted from their vehicles, one was flown to the University of Louisville Hospitals’ trauma center, and another person was also taken to that hospital. The collision occurred on U.S. Route 150 between Reisert Road and Snyder’s Chapel NE.  This stretch of road was closed Tuesday, with no reopening time set.
