A two-vehicle collision, which resulted in the death of one the drivers, occurred on the westbound side of I-70 just after Post Road, between German Church and Mitthoeffer Roads, at 7:23 P.M. on Saturday, September 21st.  The Indiana State Police are investigating the collision and believe that the vehicle driven by the deceased swerved into the path of another vehicle, which caused a collision with heavy damage to both involved vehicles.  According to the investigation, the deceased driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and the second driver involved in the collision was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The left two lanes of I-70 were temporarily closed while the crash was investigated and the wreckage removed, and police believed that the time alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
