The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Indianapolis Fire Department were called to a crash between North Sherman Drive and Emerson Avenue. A crash occurred on Tuesday night around 10:40 p.m. on East 38th Street and Arthington Boulevard. According to the police, the two-vehicle crash was a head-on collision, and the female driver of one of the vehicles was killed. At the same time, the passenger in the same vehicle was sent to the hospital in serious condition but has reported being stable. The other vehicle that was involved, which is believed to be the cause of the collision, had crossed the center line and the driver fled the scene on foot.
