The Indiana State Police are seeking the identity of a reckless driver that is responsible for a fatal collision that occurred on I-65, south of Indianapolis.  According to investigators, a white Chevrolet Cobalt with either Illinois or Kentucky license plates was driving recklessly on the night of Tuesday, June 16.  The driver was reportedly weaving in and out of traffic, braking suddenly in front of vehicles and gesturing to other drivers.  Allegedly, the Cobalt pulled in front of a pickup truck and braked suddenly, sending the pickup truck swerving to the right where it was struck by a semitrailer.  The collision caused the pickup to strike a guardrail and overturn.  Several other motorists stopped and helped pull the driver out of the pickup truck, and one performed CPR on the driver, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.  The police have been investigating the collision and asking motorists who may have been traveling in the area of I-65 between Indianapolis and Columbus between 8:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, and whether they were in a vehicle equipped with a dash camera so that they can review the footage for a white Chevrolet Cobalt with an Illinois or Kentucky license plate.

Reckless driving by another vehicle on the road is something that should always be reported immediately to local authorities.  Even if a collision occurs before authorities can arrive, letting them know the vehicle and license will them identify the driver later so that another collision can be prevented.
