On Friday, January 31, 2020, a multi-vehicle collision resulted in the death of one person.  The collision occurred in Cicero near 236th Street and Deming Road.  It involved a Chevrolet Impala that was driving east on 236th Street and that had attempted to pass several other vehicles.  When the driver of the Impala attempted to return to the eastbound lane, they struck the back of a Kia Soul that was then forced into the westbound lane causing it to collide head-on with a Jeep Wrangler.  The driver of the Soul was pronounced dead at the scene by investigators.  The other two drivers were taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis for various injuries.  The Hamilton County Sheriff’s office believes that the collision resulted from speeding and unsafe lane movement by the Impala.

Many people have seen another motorist moving between vehicles on a major road or highway to get ahead of other vehicles.  Just because some drivers can do this without causing a collision does not mean that every driver that does this will avoid a collision.    If you or someone you know has been injured or killed by the negligence of another motorist, please contact the experienced legal team at Schiller Law Offices at 888-578-3100 or at IndyInjured.com to learn more about your potential right to compensation.
