The suspect and another individual fled on foot after the collision, while another passenger from the Pontiac stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
When a driver takes their eyes off the road, an accident can happen in less than a minute. Many people on the road believe that they can take their eyes off the road for a short amount of time, and they will be fine, no matter how many other drivers are on the road with them.
